The Tigerente (tiger duck) is a children's book character created by German artist and author Janosch. It is a little wooden toy duck on wheels, striped black on yellow, that is pulled around on a string by various characters of Janosch's books.

  This is unexpected card from my new postcrossing friend. Edith send me postcard from her holidays on the North Sea.

Cuxhaven is a town in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated on the shore of the North Sea at the mouth of the Elbe River. On the postcard depicted such areas as Döse, Grimmershörner Bucht, Wasserturm, Neuwerk, Steubenhöft, Feuerschiff "Elbe 1", Sahlenburg, Duhnen, Wattrennen, Leuchtturm am Hafen, "Alte Liebe".

Edith found my profile accidentally and decided, as she wrote, "to send me nice stamp". But it looks like she deceived me, because I've got a looot of amazing stamps!)) Most of them are new by issue (mainly 2011) and absolutely unused. Kind people meet on my postcrossing way! Thank you Edith for this wealth! That essentially  broadened my German stamp collection.
